101 North Wacker was designed to minimize the chance of a life-threatening emergency and reduce damage in the event that one occurs. The building's fire and life safety system consists of smoke and heat detectors, a sprinkler system, automatically unlocking stairwell doors, and an emergency communication system. The buildings fire life safety system is monitored 24 hours a day by a main fire life safety panel located in the Wacker Lobby. The system is also monitored off site by an offsite monitoring service.
Safety Suggestions:
Fire Drills: 101 North Wacker tenants are encouraged to participate in annual fire drills. Fire drills are an integral part of the building's fire safety plan. All employees should cooperate with the instructions of their Emergency Preparedness Teams. All tenants will be notified in advance informing them of the date and time of the building fire drill. At this time, we also ask for the names and floor locations of any employees who may need special assistance in the event of an evacuation. Conduct With The News Media: Experience has proven that the company which "makes the headlines" frequently becomes the target for prank callers. Thus, for the protection and safety of all occupants of the building, tenant employees are requested to refer news media inquiries to their respective company's public relations representative or to the Property Manager. |
