The loading dock is open from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. All deliveries to or from the building must be directed through the loading dock. The carrier will enter the dock, sign in, provide identification to the dock guard, and then building access will be granted.
All deliveries are limited to 30 minutes. Notifications of all large deliveries or construction work need to be made to the Office of the Building by calling the office of the building (312) 525-8100. Dock access will not be allowed after hours or on weekends unless advanced notice has been given to the Office of the Building. The loading dock is located on Lower Wacker Drive. From within the building, the dock is accessible by taking the freight elevator to the ground floor and following the service corridor. A call box to the lobby security desk is located on the exterior of the dock near the dock door for entrance after hours. The south overhead door entrance height is 19’6’’ wide by 12’ high. The middle overhead door is 17’10” wide by 12’ high. The north overhead door is 11’9” wide by 8’2” high. It is 34’ from the inside of the overhead doors to the dock curb. The opening of the outer swinging doors off the loading dock leading to the freight car is 60” wide by 92” high. Advanced notice to the Office of the Building must be given for all shipments as listed:
Building Management reserves the right to stop any unauthorized deliveries and may request that they be rescheduled at an appropriate time. Each tenant must make the necessary arrangements to transport such items to their space at the time of delivery. Building personnel are not equipped for such tasks, and no item may be stored on the dock for removal at a later time. Business Hours: During business hours (7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.), all larger catering-type food and equipment, construction materials and other office equipment deliveries need to go through the loading dock (located on Lower Wacker Drive). To access the 101 North Wacker loading dock, one will need to be in the northbound local access lane. Access to the northbound local lane can be made at either Monroe or Congress, where they cross Wacker Drive. Larger deliveries are defined as deliveries that arrive at 101 North Wacker in a vehicle or on a flatbed four-wheel delivery cart. The larger deliveries need to go through the loading dock. If the delivery arrives via a two-wheel delivery cart, they may deliver via Upper Wacker Drive street level; however, they will need to use the freight elevator once inside the building. It also is required that all tenant contractors or sub-contractors must schedule deliveries and work with the Office of the Building. Contractors and sub-contractors must use at the freight elevator at all times. Please also note that prior to starting work at the building, each contractor must have a certificate of insurance on file with the Office of the Building. After Hours: Food deliveries and courier services are permitted after hours if the information is stated on the after hours building activity calendar, or if a contact can be reached from the tenant. The security staff will call the tenant to come down to pick up the delivery. The security staff will not escort delivery personnel to the floor/tenant requesting this service. The security staff will not sign and hold courier packages at the desk. In order to have a smooth and timely after hours delivery, please inform the Office of the Building. The information will be added to the after hours building activity calendar. If loading dock use is required for after hours deliveries, then the truck must fit in the dock with the overhead door closed. If the overhead door cannot close, then a security guard is required. A security guard can be scheduled by contacting the Office of the Building at (312) 525-8100. |
